Port Royale 2 Windows Vista

Public Enemy No. 1 - Part Two

PUBLIC ENEMY No. 1 - TIME OF ESCAPE (Part II)

Jean-François Richet

Paris at gunpoint

Who was Jacques Mesrine really? A criminal? A gangster? An idealist? A revolutionary? A gentleman? A quick change? A genius? The answer is probably in all of these attributes, and the answer is that the director tries to give Jean-François Richet through this biopic, finally completed after the first part, "The death instinct," which was left open too many sides of the personality of Mesrine. Now we can say: this is a great movie, full, full of action, charm, humor and personality. Vincent Cassel by its edge of your seat and does so with a smile.
"The time of flight" perfectly closes the circle opened with "The death instinct": Mesrine returned to France, continues to be caught by the police and on time to escape so daring, falls in love, becomes a media phenomenon, popular, thanks in autobiography writing in prison and interviews with French magazine: "I have the impression that breaking the law, but only to rob those who steal over me," says the microphones of journalists, despite his companion escape (Mathieu Amalric , always good) reminds him that they are "criminals, not idealistic." Mesrine but is one who liked to sing "Je ne regrette rien" ("I do not regret anything"): can you believe it.

Mesrine (woe to not want to pronounce it as the main character, or Merin!) Is a name that has become a legend: a brutal terrorist to society, a sincere idealist who has had close to a processor able to make fun of the rampant capitalism (known for his crusade against the banking system). Warning: the work of Richet does not intend to idealize a murderer, but simply provides a perspective as possible on an objective personality complex and interesting as that of Mesrine, giving the French cinema is a fascinating character in his shades as frightening in its hazard .
